Using bootstrap studio, HTML5 and C553 to build templates and design Longreads for the Irish Examiner website and echolive,ie.
Graphics for Irish Examiner and the Evening Echo websites. Graphics include banners, midpage units and host websites for live video and events for marketing, advertising, sport and editorial.
Responsibilities included the editorial picture desk as a stand in Visual Media editor. This includes liaising with photographers and agencies from around the world to select and fill photographs for the Irish Examiner paper in print.
In print graphics for Irish Examiner and Evening Echo using Adobe CC, primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
During my time with the company, the Irish Examiner has won the 2021 Newsbrands 'digital service of the year' award, 2021 Journalism Awards for 'Best Digital News', along with nominations from the International News Media Awards in digital design and media.
The Echo has won the 2022 International News Media Award for ‘Best Idea to Encourage Reader Engagement’, along with nominations for the Echo website in 2021 Newsbrands digital service awards.
